When Bosnia went through the Bosnian War in 1992, the amount of food left was scarce. The people that lived in Bosnia had to get creative with the ways they would feed themselves and their families. They would grow plants like tomatoes and flowers in their front yards instead of their backyards, because they were either destroyed or they didn’t have a backyard. They would make salads out of the flowers which were easy seeds to find. Sometimes the UN would supply rations, but it wasn’t very likely. Most of the richer families would sell their stuff on the black market in trade for food. Some of the families would also go to war to get food like cans of beef.
Some things that can cause emergency food assistance can be large conflicts like droughts, earthquakes and other natural disasters. A few others are political instability and war.
Famines can be caused by poor weather and higher prices of food but mainly not having access to the food.
The short term effects of hunger can include weight and muscle loss, body temperatures going down, lethargy and fainting. Some of the long term effects of hunger can be your organs shutting down, except the brain, kidney and liver problems, stunting growth, attainment, more likely to have a misscarriange, long term health issues, higher blood pressure, more of a chance of diabetes, and heart problems.
During World War ll, people would eat things that you wouldn’t think of eating like fungi (mushrooms.)
I think that in unstable countries, farming should be a more important job, and a way that the government could help with this would be to raise the income of farmers to encourage the people to become farmers, so that in times of famine, there will be enough farmers to be able to provide food for everyone in the country.#Famines
The E.P.A wants to cut the amount of animal testing, and they plan to have 30% of animal testing eliminated by 2025 and that it will be completely eliminated by 2035.
I agree with the E.P.A because animal testing is, first of all, cruel to lots of different kinds of animals and second of all, it is a little unnecessary because most scientists can figure out whether a product is harmful on humans or is safe. So, why test on an innocent animal that has no say in it to potentially hurt them?
It is important to study chemicals in the environment to see the level of toxicity, so we don’t get hurt by them and so that we don’t have to test on animals by letting humans volunteer to do the testing instead.
I don’t think that animal testing is important in the Food and Drug Administration, because the animals have no say in the testing and it’s not like they can volunteer. So, why not let humans volunteer? They would have a say in it, unlike the animals do.
I do not think that animal testing is ever justified, because even though something might be toxic, we shouldn’t be putting the animals in danger without their consent.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.
Why do this?
The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.
To help you get started, here are a few questions:
You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.
Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.
When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
